Build Digital Systems That Strengthen Your Nonprofit’s Mission.
From websites and donation campaigns to Google Ad Grants, donor email automation, responsible AI and programme-aligned analytics, we help African nonprofits design, operate and sustain the digital systems they actually need.
For NGOs, CBOs, PBOs, FBOs, nonprofit networks and programme teams. No fixed service price is displayed; scope is tailored to your needs.
One digital capacity partner. Eight connected service areas.
Choose one essential improvement or an integrated programme. We begin with your current systems, staff capacity and goals—not with a list of software to buy.
Website Development & Management
Build, improve and manage secure, mobile-friendly nonprofit websites, programme pages, application forms, SEO, hosting and ongoing maintenance.
What this builds: An accessible website your team can operate and supporters can use.
Google Ad Grants & Digital Outreach
Assess eligibility, set up and manage qualifying campaigns, improve search visibility, optimise landing pages and track meaningful actions.
What this builds: More relevant programme enquiries, volunteer applications and supporter engagement.
Digital Fundraising Campaigns
Plan campaigns and build complete mobile-first landing pages, payment integrations, mobile-money collection where supported, receipts and donation tracking.
What this builds: A tested donation journey with transactions that finance staff can verify.
Email Fundraising & Automation
Build consent-based lists, segment contacts, configure Sender-style welcome journeys, appeals, acknowledgements, newsletters and donor stewardship.
What this builds: A consistent way to communicate with supporters and strengthen repeat engagement.
Responsible Nonprofit AI & Automation
Design AI-assisted research, enquiry routing, content and reporting workflows, document organisation, approvals and human oversight.
What this builds: Useful automation without handing sensitive decisions to unsupervised AI.
Donor & Volunteer CRM
Set up proportionate donor, volunteer and partner databases, follow-up journeys, contact preferences, deduplication and reporting.
What this builds: Reliable constituent records and fewer missed follow-ups.
Data, Analytics & Programme MEL
Implement GA4, GTM, Search Console, conversion tracking, dashboards and indicator registers that distinguish digital activity from programme delivery.
What this builds: Clearer evidence from reach through to verified participation and programme results.
Digital Governance, Training & Support
Strengthen cybersecurity hygiene, privacy, accessibility, user permissions, backups, SOPs, staff training and practical maintenance handover.
What this builds: Digital systems the organisation owns, protects and can sustainably maintain.
Know what to improve before investing in new technology.
An evidence-based digital capacity assessment can show which systems are working, where organisational risks exist and what your team can reasonably sustain.
For substantive assessments, AFRI Digital Capacity Support uses an eight-section report and a practical 90-day improvement roadmap. The separate AFRI Digital Capacity Index remains a proposed pilot methodology—not a certification or the approved AFRI funding-readiness score.
A small CBO with a secure spreadsheet, mobile-money collection and reliable follow-up may have a better-fit system than a large NGO with expensive software no one uses. We assess the function, security and continuity—not the tool price.

Assess → Design → Implement → Train & Measure
Our work connects digital activity to programme objectives, outputs, outcomes and evidence without claiming that traffic or technology alone creates impact.
Review goals, Theory of Change, logframes, existing tools, accessibility, people and constraints.
Agree essential fixes, a sensible scope, accountable owners and feasible indicators.
Build, connect and test the selected systems—including payment and consent safeguards.
Train the team, document operations, verify uptake and plan ongoing support or handover.
Useful in Nairobi. Practical in low-connectivity communities.
Digital capacity is not measured by how much an organisation spends. We account for mobile money, affordable devices, data costs, rural access, multilingual audiences, disability inclusion, offline alternatives, volunteer turnover, local support and the cost of maintaining systems after a grant ends.
Before we start
Can a small community-based organisation benefit?
Yes. The work is scaled to your budget, team, programme needs and risk. A well-run protected spreadsheet, mobile-money process or offline referral path can be appropriate when an enterprise platform is not.
Do we need all eight services?
No. We begin with your most important bottleneck, assess what already works and recommend only the support you need.
How does this connect to our logframe or Theory of Change?
We connect relevant digital activities to verifiable outputs, participation and programme results, with baselines, proposed targets, data sources and named owners. Advertising clicks alone are not impact.
Is the AFRI Digital Capacity Index a certification?
No. AFRI-DCI v0.2 is a separate proposed pilot methodology. Any internal pilot index score requires sufficient evidence and assessor sign-off. It is not the approved AFRI funding-readiness score or a donor endorsement.
Can Africads manage the systems after setup?
Where scoped, yes. Maintenance, campaign optimisation, email operations, training and periodic reporting can be delivered as ongoing support with clear responsibilities and handover.
Your nonprofit does not need more tools. It needs dependable capacity.
Tell us which programme, fundraising journey or operational problem you want to improve. We can scope an assessment, one targeted implementation or an ongoing digital capacity partnership.
