Should you apply?

Best fit for: volunteer-led grassroots changemakers with a small, concrete community activity that can produce visible value with up to USD 500.

Probably not a fit if: your organization has paid staff, the annual or project budget exceeds the programme limits, or the request is for a broad ongoing programme rather than a focused seed-stage action.

Africads application tips: keep the activity narrow; show exactly what the USD 500 will unlock; and choose a result that can be delivered and demonstrated quickly.

Before you apply: Make sure USD 500 is enough to deliver the result you promise

Use the Africads Grant Budget Sanity Checker to test whether every cost is necessary, realistic and directly tied to the small activity you are promising to deliver.
